This painting was created from starting with an Idaho Mill that stands alongside a highway that winds through the rolling fields along the western range of the Teton Mountains. There was a impending spring thunderstorm and the various play of light upon the building stirred my imagination to use this as subject matter for an oil painting.
This oil painting has been created on a hand prepared Masonite panel using traditional methods, high quality pigments with a contemporary vision.
Alongside a winding road that runs north on the western side of the Teton Mountain Range stands this Idaho Mill. This structure has caught my attention many times driving the winding roads of Idaho and I felt I needed to create an oil panel my memories and thoughts regarding this structure.
This is an oil painting upon a hand prepared panel utilizing only the highest grade oil pigments and traditional methods with a contemporary vision.
