Horses South Dakota Badlands 14″ X 22″

These are four horses that were standing in a formation which allowed them to hold close in the tight windswept plains of South Dakota. The structure behind is an unused sweat structure the Native Americans would utilize during times of fasting and for cleansing of their spirits. Between the outstretched plains and ever reaching skies and seas of grass my thoughts were carried as I created this original oil painting.
